It all began with a dream.

In December 2022, I woke up with the image from a dream of a window being burned and an overwhelming desire to paint my dream.

When I had finished my painting, I went to sign my name in the lower right-hand corner, but it wasn’t right. My name at the time, a lingering memory of my old life, wouldn’t do. I researched and found Träumerin (German for Dreamer in the feminine). The first time I signed my name, the pen danced so smoothly across the paper as if I had been signing M. Träumerin my entire life. I continued to use the name for my creative works.

Then, two and a half years later, another dream let me know it was time to change my name, legally. I am (and perhaps on some level always have been) M. Träumerin, and these are the creations I have dreamt up.
